This piece is made of carved pieces of Albasia wood. This wood is also known as Sengon (Latin name: Albizia Falcata). It is a type of pine wood. Albasia wood is lighter in weight than most types of pine. This wood is mainly found in Indonesia. Albasia Falcata is a softwood. That is why it is easily processed but very durable, too.
